A Veteran’s Call to Action: Exposing Corruption and Rallying for Justice in Hernando County

As a veteran and long-time business owner in Hernando County, I have experienced firsthand the depth of systemic corruption and abuse by local law enforcement and connected business entities. I have been subjected to wrongful charges, illegal searches, and inhumane treatment, including physical abuse during custody and unlawful arrests without due process. This misconduct extends to ongoing harassment with threats, sexual battery, sexual assault, and false accusations—all part of a calculated scheme to exploit individuals for profit, blatantly violating our Constitutional and Human Rights.
Our God-given rights have become the last concern for law enforcement, who operate with an agenda that disregards justice. Truth has no value in this environment, where transparency is actively avoided to protect revenues generated through unlawful practices. BodyCams remain unimplemented because they would expose misconduct, significantly impacting court revenues by revealing the biases and abuses behind closed doors. The entrenched law enforcement community understands the consequences—roughly 70% of cases and guilty verdicts could be overturned if citizens’ rights were genuinely safeguarded against rogue officers who exploit this unchecked system. Without BodyCams, courts rely solely on law enforcement’s narrative, often leaving citizens vulnerable to distorted truths and wrongful convictions.
I call upon my community for support in bringing these injustices to light, holding those responsible accountable, and demanding BodyCams for all officers. This isn’t just my fight; it’s a fight for everyone’s rights. Your advocacy, information, and legal assistance are essential in this battle for transparency and justice. Visit www.BodyCamsForHernando.com to share any tips or support. Together, we can stand up to this corruption and empower our community to protect its rights.
Thank you,
David Voorheis: Hubbard II
